Outside of Energise, she can be found teaching brand strategy with the NZ Marketing Association, mentoring young marketers and ambitious business owners as part of Business Mentors NZ, and judging at the YouTube NZ Marketing Awards. Pre-Energise, Rosina held senior marketing roles within well-known companies, including Sky City, Westfield, Telecom, AUT, and Westpac (all of which honed her BS meter).

My marketing hero is Seth Godin (of course) for his miracle mix of creativity and strategy and whose daily blogs resonate and guide me most days….

Google Analytics! It’s essential for understanding how users interact with your content. Without insights into visitor behavior — like what pages they engage with or where they drop off — it’s nearly impossible to optimise your content and boost conversions.

What inspired Ashton to get into marketing?

Rachel brings 20 years of professional writing, brand, and content management experience to the Energise team. With a true love of creating meaningful and engaging content across all platforms, Rachel has worked with businesses of all sizes to bring both their internal and external brands to life.

Having begun in editorial publishing, Rachel quickly found the fast-paced and diverse nature of content marketing to be more her style and has created and managed content for some of
Aotearoa’s most-recognised B2B brands in the event, ag, and tech spaces. When she’s not filming on-farm, workshopping in a boardroom, or putting together a creative-yet-clear content strategy, Rachel spends her time chasing two inexhaustible children and dreaming of the day she can have a coffee in peace.

This naturally expanded to include social media and Google Ads, which now make up a big part of her daily work. With a genuine passion for data analytics and trend-spotting, René loves partnering with clients to uncover the best opportunities and solutions to help them achieve their goals.

As a qualified and experienced Digital Communications and Marketing Specialist, René excels at planning and digital strategy. She develops and manages creative, innovative digital marketing plans, focusing on generating leads through targeted website traffic and creating immersive, cohesive experiences. She loves diving into digital marketing audits to see where improvements can be made, and then implementing digital marketing projects, ranging from website updates to full-blown rebrands alongside the wider Energise team. Having worked with a variety of clients — from consumer goods to charities and B2B businesses — she has a wealth of experience in international markets, including South Africa, England, and New Zealand.

Who is your marketing hero? Why? 

Henry Ford without a doubt.  He was quoted as saying “If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses.” The genius of Henry was in his creativity and looking at a problem from a new angle, providing a solution and a product that no one knew they wanted, but definitely did!

Ashley is Energise’s driving force of admin and procedure. As Operations Manager, he ensures seamless efficiency behind the scenes, so the team can focus on what truly matters – our clients.
Having spent 20 years at the wheel as Editor of New Zealand Classic Car magazine, robust systems and processes are second nature to Ashley and he enjoys making sure Energise runs like a well-oiled machine. Outside the office, his main passion is cars, having owned  everything from Corvettes to Mustangs, to his current pride and joy, a 2011 Shelby GT500.

Kern Hoffman

As Energise’s art director, Kern specialises in brand identity, web and graphic design, and website development, ensuring his creative vision captures audience attention and drives engagement, no matter the project at hand.

His expertise in SEO strategy, WordPress, traditional and digital design, and project management allows him to push the boundaries to help brands stand out in today’s competitive market. Kern’s career has led him through diverse projects, from print ads to digital animation to designing and developing high-converting websites.

His deep interest in AI technology and its potential to transform design workflows drives him to explore ways to increase creativity and efficiency in the design process, anticipating that AI will redefine the industry in the near future.

Kern’s philosophy when approaching projects is to “inspire innovation”, meaning no idea is ever finished – every concept is open to refinement and reinvention.

What inspired you to get into design?
