Vinlink

Intro

VinLink is a specialist big batch single variety wine processing company in the Marlborough region. They work with a variety of growers, producing grapes from their own vineyards to export to the USA and later the rest of the world. They also recruit seasonal staff for their vintage which happens yearly around March and April.

Vinlink only had a placeholder website with contact information and one photograph when they first contacted Energise. They had very little social media presence. They are a small, passionate team that makes big things happen, have achieved great things and are looking at doubling capacity in the next 5 years.

Client requirements

VinLink’s management wanted to grow their online presence in order to gain growers, partners, seasonal staff and export partners. With the existing online presence, they were not able to meet their goals.

The Energise approach

Energise conducted a brand review and established that their brand is positioned as the ‘people’s brand’: reflecting a friendly and personable brand voice, valuing their staff, and cultivating relationships with growers and clients alike. Hence the tag line, ‘Our people are at the heart of who we are’.

Energise project managed the design and development of VinLink’s new website. We developed a website that showcased who VinLink are, what they do, and how prospective growers and clients would benefit from a partnership with them. This included search engine optimisation, on-brand copywriting and a keyword strategy developed for enhanced SEO.

We also organised new photography for the website which not only showcased their staff and their vineyards, but also the winery facilities themselves.

What we achieved

Energise developed a website that exceeded the client’s expectations.

Over and above the successes shown in analytics, the VinLink team reported a massive surge in seasonal staff applications. They have had applications from all over the world and filled their seasonal staff quota early for the 2023 vintage.
